Black and white photograph of Dani Audette, founder of Audette Law

I used to think that many of the things that made me the lawyer I am were weaknesses.

I refused to be aggressive for the sake of it.

Weakness.

People always said I was too nice to be a lawyer.

Weakness.

I wanted more facts before I gave advice.

Weakness.

I believed clients deserved the truth, even when it wasn’t what they wanted to hear.

Weakness.

I assumed I hated the billable hour because I just hated tracking my time.

It was more than that.

I spent more than fifteen years practicing global disputes at White & Case LLP.

I’m the lawyer I am because of my time there.

Maybe the most important thing I learned was that the instincts I’d spent years questioning were the reason I served my clients well.

At one point I thought I’d stop practicing law.

I couldn’t see a way to practice that aligned with who I am, what I value, and how I want to show up for my clients.

I never wanted to own a law firm.

I do want to be the lawyer I am.

That’s Audette Law.

Dani isn’t just a lawyer. She’s a thoughtful, strategic human who gathered all the context, explained all my options and gave me a solid way forward…with grace and kindness.
